Compare Institutions
Compare Institutions helps you put two Lagos higher institutions side by side using the admission-route information currently verified and stored by LAG Institutes. Use it when you are deciding where to investigate further—not as a substitute for course-specific eligibility or an official admission decision.
What the comparison can help you see
- Which admission routes are currently published for each institution.
- Stored screening or route thresholds where an official source supports them.
- Whether a route is shown as open, closed or requiring an official-source check.
- Verification dates and source-backed route notes.
- Differences between full-time, part-time, Direct Entry, diploma, HND, foundation and other routes.
Do not compare scores without context
A JAMB national minimum, an institution’s screening threshold and a course-level selection score answer different questions. A school showing a lower general threshold does not prove that a particular course is easier to enter, and a higher score does not by itself tell you whether your O’Level or UTME subjects match the programme.
Compare the same route where possible
For a useful comparison, compare like with like: full-time undergraduate with full-time undergraduate, HND with HND, or Direct Entry with Direct Entry. A part-time or foundation route can have a different application process, qualification requirement and current status from the regular UTME route.
What to check after comparing
Once you have narrowed your options, open the relevant institution profile and programme route, then check the Course Directory for course-specific requirements where available. Before paying, return to the linked official institution source and confirm the current academic session and application status.
Need a route based on your own qualification?
If you are not choosing between two named schools yet, the Admission Finder is usually the better starting point because it lets you filter by qualification, JAMB score, programme level and study mode. For an unusual case, use Admission Help.
