Official Sources We Monitor

LAG Institutes uses selected institution and JAMB sources as the primary evidence for time-sensitive admission information. Monitoring helps us detect changes; it does not make LAG Institutes an official portal and it does not replace the live source.

Monitoring status tells you whether LAG Institutes has recently been able to check the source. The institution or JAMB website itself remains the controlling source for admission decisions, payments and deadlines.

How source monitoring is used

A source change is only a trigger for editorial processing. Clear urgent updates may become concise Verified Notices. Broader topics must pass the long-form editorial quality gate, and long-form automatic guides are spaced through newsroom publishing slots rather than released in bulk. Ambiguous changes remain in the private review queue.

Institution-specific source hierarchy

LAG Institutes does not assume that every school uses one master admission portal. The controlling source depends on the institution and the admission route.

YABATECH

For YABATECH, the central application portal is the first current-session source because it exposes the College’s 2026/2027 application types, including HND Full-Time, HND Part-Time, ND Part-Time, CODFEL and PGD. Route-specific programme data is loaded dynamically, so a server-side crawler or cached copy that fails to load the programme list is not treated as proof of closure. The applicant-facing live portal, the current session shown there and any current YABATECH notice control the status.

UNILAG

UNILAG uses a combination of official admission notices, applications.unilag.edu.ng and unit-specific official pages such as DLI, Foundation Studies and postgraduate sources. The route-specific notice controls the session dates and eligibility; the application portal controls the actual application process.

LASU

LASU uses route-specific systems. Regular undergraduate UTME, Direct Entry and LASU JUPEB screening are checked against the official admission-screening portal; Part-Time is checked through the School of Part-Time Studies; postgraduate and other special routes are checked through their own official LASU systems. One LASU portal is not used to infer the status of every route.

LASUSTECH

LASUSTECH undergraduate screening, JUPEB and Pre-Degree are treated as separate routes. Undergraduate status is checked against the official screening/admission sources, while JUPEB and Pre-Degree are checked through their own official programme portals or notices.

LASUED

LASUED’s Apply Now area is used as a route directory, but Undergraduate, Diploma, Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma each have their own live status and application page. LAG Institutes checks the specific route page before calling that route open, closed or not yet opened.

How we decide whether a form is really open

• A visible portal button alone is not enough.
• The route must be for the correct academic session.
• Where the institution uses a dynamic programme selector, availability is verified from the live applicant-facing portal; an automated extraction failure alone is not a closure signal.
• The current official notice or route page must not contradict the portal.
• Old adverts are kept only as historical context and are never used to present a current form as open.
