How LAG Institutes publishes admission information

LAG Institutes is an independent education-information and application-support platform. Our job is to make admission information easier to understand without pretending to be an institution, JAMB or an official application portal.

Primary sources come first

Time-sensitive admission facts should be checked against the relevant institution, JAMB or another controlling primary source before publication. Where a source is available, the page should link to it and show when the information was last verified. Social-media reposts, copied blogs and old screenshots are not treated as controlling sources when an official source can be checked.

We do not scrape and dump

Our monitoring system may detect a change on an official page, but a changed page is not automatically a publishable story. A publishable update must identify a real admission event and add useful interpretation for applicants: who is affected, what changed, what action is required, what the update does not prove and where to verify the instruction. Long passages from official notices are not republished as our own article.

Two editorial formats

Editorial Guides are comprehensive explanations and normally provide at least about 2 minutes 45 seconds of useful reading when the subject supports that depth. Verified Notices cover narrow, time-sensitive changes such as a deadline extension, closure, screening date or admission-list update. They may be shorter when extra words would only create padding. We do not add filler simply to reach a word count.

Automated monitoring does not remove editorial standards

Automatic source monitoring is used to detect possible changes. High-confidence updates must still pass source, originality, usefulness and content-class checks before automatic publication. Ambiguous, repetitive, thin or insufficiently supported changes are held for review. The system is designed to fail closed rather than publish an uncertain admission claim.

Freshness and corrections

Admission information changes quickly. Pages can therefore be marked for re-verification when their last checked date becomes old for the type of information they contain. A freshness warning does not mean the whole article is wrong; it tells readers to confirm the current position before paying or applying. Readers can report suspected outdated information through our correction form.

Independence: LAG Institutes may offer separate application assistance, but an institution or JAMB makes the admission decision. We do not guarantee admission and we do not ask readers to submit passwords, profile codes or account credentials through public forms.

Publishing pace and automation

Urgent, narrow Verified Notices may be published immediately when the official evidence is clear and the notice passes our factual quality checks. Longer automated Editorial Guides are rate-limited and placed into scheduled newsroom slots. We do this to avoid batch publishing and to keep automation subordinate to editorial usefulness.
