B.Sc. Chemistry at LASUED
Science and health programmes are usually strict about the core laboratory sciences. For B.Sc. Chemistry, a missing Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics requirement cannot normally be repaired by simply having five other credits. Confirm the exact combination published by LASUED.
What you need before you apply
This page is a course-specific requirement guide, not an admission guarantee. It separates the stable academic requirement from changing items such as screening dates, current cut-off scores and whether an application portal is open.
O’Level requirement
Compulsory subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry. Additional accepted subjects: Biology, Physics, Agricultural Science, Geography Further Mathematics, Food And Nutrition, Dyeing And Bleaching, Civic Education, Economics, Geography.
Read that requirement literally. A candidate can have five or more credits and still be ineligible if one compulsory subject is missing or if the result combination falls outside the subjects accepted for this course.
UTME subjects
The official source used for this record does not publish a complete UTME subject combination on the same page. LAG Institutes will not guess it. Check the current JAMB brochure and the institution’s admission portal before selecting this course.
Direct Entry, HND or higher-entry route
Direct Entry is available only where the current LASUED/JAMB route accepts the applicant's qualification for this programme; confirm the current Direct Entry notice before applying.
Higher-entry qualifications are course-specific. An ND, HND, NCE, JUPEB or A-Level result that is accepted for one programme should not be assumed to qualify you for another programme with a similar name.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Core science credits should be present exactly as stated; a high UTME score does not replace them.
- Health-related courses may have stricter one-sitting, age or professional conditions in a current admission cycle.
- Direct Entry can be restricted to particular science qualifications and classifications.
Before paying for an application
- Match every compulsory O’Level subject against the result you will upload.
- Confirm the UTME or Direct Entry route for the current session.
- Check whether the institution must be your first choice before screening.
- Confirm that the programme is currently accepting applications; a permanent course page does not mean the form is open today.
- Use only the institution’s official payment and application portal.
Source note: LASUED's official admission-requirement table publishes programme-specific O'Level subjects. UTME subject combinations should still be checked against the current JAMB brochure and LASUED screening notice.
Official verification
LAG Institutes uses the official institution source for the academic requirement and keeps short-term admission notices separate. If the institution publishes a newer requirement, the newer official instruction takes priority.
