LASU LACACA 2026/2027: Admission Clearance for Admitted Students
Lagos State University’s Central Admissions Clearance Application (LACACA) is the online clearance route for candidates who have already been admitted and need to complete the university’s clearance process. LASU announced commencement of the 2026/2027 LACACA exercise for admitted full-time undergraduate students, and the official undergraduate clearance portal currently identifies itself as the 2026/2027 Central Admission Clearance system.
Who should use LACACA
LACACA is not an admission application and it is not a replacement for JAMB CAPS. It is intended for candidates who have reached the admitted-student clearance stage specified by LASU. If you have not been offered admission or your status is still being processed, do not assume that being able to open the LACACA page means you have been admitted.
Use your own admission record and LASU’s current instructions to determine whether you should begin clearance. The official undergraduate LACACA login asks for a JAMB number and surname.
What to prepare before starting clearance
Clearance normally depends on the consistency of the records used during admission. Before logging in, gather the credentials and documents that support your admission route and make sure your names, O’Level details and other submitted information agree across the records you are using. If LASU publishes a document checklist in the portal for your case, follow that checklist rather than a list copied from an older session.
Scan or photograph documents clearly where uploads are required. Keep the originals because an online upload does not remove the possibility that the university may later require physical verification.
Use only the official LASU clearance system
The current LACACA portal is hosted on LASU’s own domain. Start from the university website or the official clearance link, not from a payment link sent privately on social media. LASU has also published support information for the LACACA process, which is a better route for resolving a genuine clearance problem than handing over your login details to an unofficial “agent.”
Do not send your JAMB credentials, portal password, payment-card PIN or one-time authentication code to LAG Institutes. We can explain what a step means, but we do not log into the university portal for candidates.
Clearance can involve more than one admission step
An admitted candidate may also need to follow LASU instructions concerning acceptance fees, medical fees, result verification, document uploads or other post-admission processes. Treat each instruction according to the current official notice. A receipt from one stage should not be assumed to complete every other stage automatically.
Keep copies of payment receipts, clearance submissions and any status message shown by the portal. If a status changes, record the date and follow the university’s support instruction before resubmitting or making another payment.
What LACACA status means
The purpose of clearance is to verify the records supporting the admission. A pending or review status should be treated as a request to follow the university’s process, not as an invitation to pay someone to “approve” the record. Likewise, completion of an online step should be read together with the next instruction displayed by LASU.
If LASU publishes a correction, deadline or new clearance instruction for the same 2026/2027 session, LAG Institutes should update this existing guide rather than create a thin duplicate article.
Current official position
LASU’s official news page records the commencement of LACACA for full-time undergraduate students in the 2026/2027 academic session, and the live undergraduate clearance portal is available for candidate sign-in. Candidates should therefore use the official portal as the current operational source and check LASU news for any later deadline or document instruction.
How to verify before you act
Admission information can change after a page is published. Use the linked official source as the final check before you pay, upload credentials, change an institution choice or travel for a screening or clearance step. If the institution later publishes a newer notice for the same session, the newer official notice takes priority over an older guide.
LAG Institutes is an independent information platform. We do not make admission decisions, collect institution login passwords or promise admission outcomes. You can also use the Admission Finder to compare routes and the outdated-information form if an official page changes before our next verification.
